Step 1: You fill out an application and outline your families needs and expectations.

Step 2: We’ll review your and set up a call with you to discuss your application, who you’re looking for and what your needs look like.

Step 3: After reviewing internally to see if Village Roots is a right fit for your needs, we’ll begin the pairing process! We then provide you with a carefully selected list of highly-vetted candidates, focusing on quality over quantity. This is when your deposit will be due.

A note about our caregiver process: To ensure the best possible match, we speak directly with at least two previous families of a potential nanny. We believe these live conversations are crucial to understanding a candidate's experience and personality! This comprehensive approach allows us to present you with a small group of highly-qualified candidates, making the hiring process smoother and more efficient.

Step 4: Once you've reviewed the candidates, we'll help you arrange interviews. We suggest starting with a phone call to get a feel for each nanny, followed by an in-person meeting if it feels like a good fit.

Step 5: Once you've found the perfect nanny and both parties are aligned on the terms, we will provide you with a sample employment agreement to help you formalize the arrangement. The final placement fee is due within the first week of your new nanny starting with your family.

As the employer, it is your responsibility to handle all aspects of employment, including verifying employment eligibility. We do not conduct this verification.

Step 6: We're here for you every step of the way, even after your nanny is placed. If you have any questions or need support, we're always here to help.
